Christmas Sessions 2023

Christmas is fast approaching and due to the copious amount of messages I am receiving regarding if I will be doing them this year I thought a blog was needed to go over the details :)

First of all, Yes I will be doing sessions again this year. With the new studio being ready I am so excited and have already been planning (and shopping) for my Christmas setup for 2023.

I am hoping to have a few October dates this year and those will be offered to my VIP clients through our mailing list first. These early sessions will allow time for ordering some of our products that are popular for Christmas gifts. Then will have scattered dates available during November. As always getting in early is advised so you can have more selection on dates available.

Pricing and procedures will remain the same as previous years. Viewings done on the day for selections to be made. This works so much better and ensures a quick turnaround on your edited galleries. There will be two minor changes this year, first of all being the new studio of course and second is a slight change to weekend sessions.

New Studio

For past clients you will be happy to know that the studio is only a stones throw away from the old studio so location hasn’t changed much at all. Setup wise, we will only have one inclusive set this year. As the dark moody studio is now seperate from our family studio and upstairs, I have made the decision that it won’t be used for family sessions. Kids and stairs just don’t mix. But the family studio is stunning and will offer multiple looks within the space. I am super excited to bring the Christmas set together and start sharing.

Weekend Sessions

Due to weekends always being extremely limited and busy, I have made the decision to have a small minimum spend added to weekend spots. The majority of clients end up upgrading a few images at least anyway so for most this won’t make any difference.

Pricing itself will not change from previous years. I just need to make sure costs of having assistants in is covered which is always needed on a weekend and I didn’t want to raise the session pricing as such.

Weekday spots will not have a minimum spend attached to them. I am also planning 2 assistants when possible this year on weekend spots so we can have multiple viewings happening at the same time which should see things run smoother.

Pet Sessions

Last year for the first time I was able to open the studio for pet sessions. Obviously pet sessions can come with their own challenges and this year as the new studio attached to our home & a lot going on behind the scenes, I have decided for this year at least they will not be available. It is still in the back of my mind on how and if I can make it work so if I get enough interest this may change but really cannot see how I can make it happen this year.

So that is about it for now. In coming weeks dates will be announced so please keep your eyes peeled for that. Make sure you are on our mailing list and also that you check your junk folders as we sometimes end up here. If you are a past client and dates will not work for you due to FIFO etc please get in contact as soon as dates are released. I can let you know if it is possible to open spots that will work for you. At this stage I am not sure if I can keep sessions open for longer with it being a seperate studio as it is used for some Boudoir sessions with Boudoir By Kristy Lee. Time will tell, however I can say that sessions will be complete before December.
